maybe someone else on here doesn't know about this, but myself and OH discovered this recently.

Superb facility with great service, everything from bottles, bags, cans, clothes, to small electrical items.

    Open from 8-8 M-F and 8-6 Sat

They also take in garden waste and *big waste* for a charge.

We are delighted to have found it as we are clearing a lot of clothes and general bags/old electrical kit etc at the moment.

I don't understand why there is a charge for accepting garden waste, at the moment there are fallen leaves all over the place which are going to block up drains if not picked up before turning to mush.
People would be more willing to sweep these off the street outside their homes if there was somewhere they could bring them. The brown bin is a bit small for this volume of leaves.

It's a fantastic facility and the staff are very helpful too. In the days after Christmas we always go down with all the wrapping paper etc that won't fit into the green bin. And the bottles of course....

Yea, we had a big clean out during the Summer, decided to finally get rid of the old VHS tapes that had accumulated.

Staff were helpful, and we gave them a VHS player to watch all the movies on.:pac:

They even took an old Petrol Strimmer that had seen better days.
I'd say the inside of that shed is like an Aladin's Cave.

Not just small electrical goods, they take the bigger stuff as well, TV's cookers fridges.

    +1

Recently bought a house in NCD and that place was a fantastic find.

Especially cos these days furniture companies etc. all leave the packaging etc behind.

Even stuff like the old rusted aerials and satellite dishes from the roof, was able to dispose of them there.

    Very handy.

Can you bring broken delph/bowls here?

Also what about wooden chopping boards/bowls?

Or are they are case of put them in the black bin?

I think they're black bin items. They don't take delph and there's a charge for wood, which wouldn't be worth paying unless they're large items.
