Fees for lodging a foreign Euro cheque to a Bank of Ireland account

    I will be lodging a cheque from a french bank account to my Bank of Ireland account. What fees would be charged on this transaction (in Ireland and in France)?

    Thank you for your post.

    As your query is very much account specific, we would advise you to contact your Bank of Ireland branch to check if there may be charges relating to the foreign cheque lodgement.

    You can find contact details for your branch here.

    We would not be made aware by the foreign bank if they will process a charge relating to the clearance of the cheque. It would be best to check directly with them.
