Australian diploma recognised in Ireland?

Hi. I am about to start a diploma in business management here in Australia. However I hope to return to Ireland in the next while. Does anyone know if a diploma here can be recognised in Ireland? The course is being ran by Open Colleges. They have told me it is recognised in all common wealth countries, which includes the UK however they didn't know about Ireland.

NQAI as yet have no agreed recognition/mapping of Australian qualifications to the Irish setup. That does not mean an employer is necessarily going to refuse to recognise it. Having an Australian qualification gained while actually living in Australia would be seen as fairly normal by employers.

I don't see why it wouldn't be recognized - looking at the
Australian Qualifications Framework it lines up with the Irish framework: http://www.nfq.ie/nfq/en/

Australia seems to have aligned itself to the Bologna process https://www.aei.gov.au/About-AEI/Government-Relations/Pages/TheBolognaProcess.aspx - a European initiative to harmonize qualifications across borders.

The level 5 diploma in Australia should equate to a level 5 certificate here.
