Circuit Court Question

Hi, I'm studying administration which includes one legal module. I know current cases can't be discussed here, but just confused about one thing. I sat in on a civil circuit court case recently which was an appeal from the EAT. It wasn't listed on courts.ie for that day but it is for this week. It was much, much more complicated than the other cases so I barely got the gist of it. Anyway, right underneath the listing it has the plaintiff and defendant reversed, with a different case code. Is that typical, does it mean the other party is counter-suing?

May have started out in EAT as Employee v Employer.

Employer may have appealed - Appeal may then have been listed as Employer v Employee.

It is only a detail, don't get hung up on it
