I was reading a well known magazine today about heat pumps and came across the term 'vapour injection technology'.

According to the article it "is an add on to the compression cycle... high seasonal performance can be achieved because the heat pumps were designed to deliver high flow temperatures (up to 65C)."

It's basically saying that it's possible to supply domestic hot water (high temp) as well as heating water (low temp) efficiently at high COPs.

Google "heat pumps vapour injection technology" and you'll see one company who use it.

    Has anyone came across this?
