Can you hire a guard dog to mind a residential property when someone goes on holidays? The property is fully enclosed and would be suitable for a dog to be loose. Just hoping a dog would deter any little toe rags. Dublin area. Is it a possibility and if so any recommendations please
    Thanks

No it won't be possible. Not just to hire the dog anyway. What if something happened and the dog got injured? Who would feed and water the dog? Many reasons why this couldn't work.

Family member or neighbour would be best.

I imagine you would have to hire a security guard from a proper security company, who may give you the option of security guard & dog. But I highly doubt there is anyway of just hiring a dog. It wouldn't work at all.

    Thanks for the replies.

A family member was minding the house, it still got broken into last night. Now they are scared and wanted some backup

you might have some luck if you ask a dog training school or dog trainer who might know someone

what about a House Sitter? You could even have your own dog, and a house sitter to come stay while you are away?
