Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Patk Knox (b c1828) married Margaret Barry 1851 Ballybricken/Bohermore parish, witness Patk Knox. According to IFHF the transcription of the townland is as above. M. Barry must have died as Patk remarried in 1856. They and their large family lived in Inch St. Lawrence (Caherconlish) just a short distance from Bohermore church. Now I have all the details of this 2nd family (but not the certificates).

However, there was at least one child born to Patk & Margaret, James (born Dec 1851) but IFHF appears not to have his baptism record. I am wondering why as both Caherconlish & Ballybricken/Bohermore records start in early 1800s. There are 3 Knox marriages at Ballybricken/Bohermore which I will probably purchase. However, a Mary Knox married in 1877 but there is another Mary in the 2nd family b1861 so unlikely to the same family.

Griffiths is listing Patrick with c80 acres of land at Inch St Lawrence & Ludden, (neigbouring) - he would have quite young to have such a holding - maybe his father? On the Tithe Records, there is a Patrick with a small holding in Knockbrien.

I was hoping to find out where Patrick was born. There were only a few Knox families in Limerick in the 19 C - Bishop of Limerick, Rector at Kilflynn - all Church of Ireland.

    Thanks for any help.
