The main ingredient is salt made from the tear ducts of Chinese orphans!!

Also many people see wedges as a gateway to harder deli snacks such as chicken fillet rolls and sausage rolls!! Its an endless cycle!!

    Grab a carrot instead!

    Ok.....
Any suggestions for a better lunch from a deli than a chicken fillet roll? :)

Get a wrap with plain chicken or turkey and plenty of vegetables.
Try to steer clear of the Mayo thou.

Instead of chocolate or crisps get a banana, orange, apple, etc
Those are much healthier and usually cheaper too !

Might also be an alternative ...

Brown Bread Sandwich Chicken, Ham (or whatever meat they have really), tomatoes (sprinkle of pepper), a little bit of cheese and asked for it to be toasted.

    Yummy!

The best available option from a deli takeaway is to avoid it. Try somewhere where you can get proper food

    Get a cooked chicken.

    Eat that.

    Problem sorted

I used to go to one with a salad bar and just pile up on meats, no salad or filler. They charged by the tub rather than by weight, I used to cram so much in it the lid would be straining and it was like it was going to just explode!

Per kilo it ended up cheaper than the cheapest precooked meats in supermarkets.

You can just look up wedges on tesco.ie and try and find deep fried values. You can usually get your wedges weighed in most delis, many are charged per box but there is nearly always a scales about to ask them to check.

The spar values listed about are per 100g, they look a bit low to me too.
