Just back from having had a few festive beveridges myself so never noticed anything out of the ordinary tonight, I'd imagine they were not far off some wintry showers here going by the temperature

Wind is beginning to drop here after an insanely windy night. Managed about 4 hours of broken sleep between the violent hailstorms and very noisy gusts.

Third sleepless night - I'm feeling like a zombie! On the bright side, the bad weather will keep the in-laws away until Christmas Afternoon - every storm cloud truly has a silver lining!

just arrived in Clare after driving down from Meath. roads are busy but no issues worth reporting. Not much rain during journey. Have known worse, ,especially here in Clare, there's not much between here and Newfoundland, and what there is lets the wind through without any changes. Some evidence of hail or snow in the verge of the side road as we came off the main road at Lissycasey, but I can't be sure when it came down.

Cool enough in the wind.

weather in Clare right now is surreal. Over 500 ft above sea level on top of a ridge so very little (NO) protection from winds, and right now it's almost flat calm, so it really is the calm before the storm. I am going outside shortly with my son to move his kids trampoline before the weather does it for him. No weather station here so reports are only mk 1 eyeball. high cloud overcast rolled in over last hour after clear start. So far a very quiet day, but I have no illusions, later is going to be the wildest storm I will have seen in a long time. Network permitting, more later
