Possible Motherboard Failure?

I was browsing Boards when my PC became unresponsive to all inputs. The mouse wouldn't move and the keyboard's Caps light wouldn't toggle when I pressed the Capslock button.

I did a hard reboot but now my PC won't boot at all. When I switch it on, I hear the fan and HD, but the monitor is still in standby and is receiving no input. I do not hear any beeps from the BIOS POST.

I have a Ubuntu on a USB and tried booting into that but again nothing happens.

It's difficult to debug the issue when I'm receiving absolutely no output.

Is this a motherboard issue? :(

Could be RAM related, some motherboards won't give you any clue if there's a problem with hardware.

    Try reseating the RAM first.
