Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just remember, if you record any event on these channels then cancel it, you will NOT be able to watch what you have recorded

Im sure you can still watch the recorded program even if you unsubscribe.

I think that only applies to sky movies/sports.

Well as it happens, I'm getting to watch the matches live, but I might just record one anyway and see if I can still watch it after I'm disconnected.

Going to ring in BT the next 10 minutes to "cancel"...

Will accept €9.99 if they offer it to me.

    What will happen?

    Excitement!

    Nothing, there closed!

    This is correct.

This is also a hassle, as they are only open 9AM to 6PM, and I am working Monday and Tuesday. Now I am going to have to sneak in a phonecall in before the deadline :(

Got through on my 3rd attempt... selected option 1 for Sky then 1 again for new subscribers and got through that way.
They are more likely to answer you if they think you are gong to sign up.It goes through to the same call centre, and they even offered to drop the price to €12.99 to keep my subscription on.

Interesting. Anyone tried this yet or what info do they require when you call that I'd need to include in the email to cancel my subscription?

Can anyone who got through describe what info they required?

    rx8, Mags, Sicky, Santry ?

Is it just viewing card number and credit card number?
    Anything else?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Yes, same here. I didn't get the message about email either. Do we have to call today, or can we do it tomorrow?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,195 ✭✭✭bailey99

The message on the waiting thing says I need my viewing card number or else I have to call later on. I don't have this to hand as the moment so is it ok to cancel tomorrow instead or does it have to be done before the 31st December?

Got through after 12 mins on hold. Offered 3 months for 9.99 so took it. Overall was impressed with the channels available & games on offer so worth giving it a try for 3 months.

    done

    offered 12.99,

then i said i was on a half price with sky and would accepted nothing less.

so he offered 9.99 for 3 months
    jumped at it. .

as far as i can see, if ur paying for sky sports, and getting it at 1/2 price. . .the only have 50% of good prem leag games

    happy days. .

funny, i was warned to ring back end of feb. . .lol

    I think so.
The guy on the phone scrapped the old €1 subscription and started a new 3 month one.

I still have the hd channels including ESPN HD , so I presume I'll have them for the 3 months.

Is anybody else just getting cut off?

    Yes.

Disgraceful way to handle inbound calls. "Please call later" ? Does Setanta think I have all day to be ringing their call centre again and again? Why not put the calls in a queue?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 718 ✭✭✭P_Cash

meant to say, he said half of irelanding ringing in.. and the system is crawling. .

makes me wonder how it it will all survive getting only 9.99 a month.

    totally worth it. .

if sky didnt have nfl or the odd good la liga game, i wouldnt miss it

I suppose the 1st of March will be the last day to cancel this 3 month offer.
