Not sure where to post this as it's a Laptop, modding and electronics query I guess...

So I tried to do a battery firmware up on my Lenovo Thinkpad E520 and basically it failed somehow mid way and now the battery has sh*t itself!
I rang Lenovo but they were pretty useless once they realised it was over a year old.
The laptop knows there's a battery there but won't charge it or anything.

Does anyone know of a way to get at the firmware via 3rd party software or maybe even open it up and reset it somehow?

Don't fancy forking out €150 for a new one when it was working fine before Lenovo's SW broke it!
