Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Quick question re paddock stands

I've got sliders on my forks and on my swingarm which if I'm assuming correctly also serve as grab points for paddock stands.

My question is, are these sliders universal or will they only fit certain stands?

I've these on my swingarm: http://www.svracingparts.com/products/#!/~/product/category=472445&id=1624038

I've got something smaller on the front forks, I'll get a pick of it later.

I'm after a set of front & rear stands for Chrimbo, want to get a decent set which will work with the sliders on the bike at the moment.

My paddock stands go under the bike parts itself. The front lifting from the bottom of the forks and the back stand lifting from the swingarm itself. You don't need to lift from the sliders.

They can be used to lift the back wheel once they are mounted on something solid on the swing arm. Be careful of front ones as some use the axle to mount, not much good when trying to remove the front wheel. For the front if you spend a bit more you can get a stand which lifts from the headstock, much more stable for taking the front wheel off.

You can just buy a hook which will go into the paddock stand to lift with them fitted.

I found it much easier to get hooks on the slides than trying to lift with the swing arm only.

Yes you can use those assuming you get a stand with hooks.

I have one of these (rear only) at the moment but it's nearly a two person operation aligning the grips under the swingarm and it's just messy in general.

Any reccommendations for a good set so (front and rear)?

    They're brilliant, but ridiculous money!

Bike-It stands are cheap but tend to flex too much.

Harris stands are the dog's danglies though.
