Lovren out, Gabbidon in, an extra 1.4m in bank and a step closer to a strong midfield.

Brother, many follow the same path as we speak. It is a path of righteousness.

And 98.7 right now !!! If he could get a CS this week-end, the trend could really reverse!

And more people are bringing him in. 98.3 now.

This article says he's "unlikely to be fit". http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aston-villa-fitness-doubts-over-6381688

Had a reasonable time with Southampton defenders but had Boruc,Clyne,Lovren,Dawson,Coleman,Whittaker and Keeper Mc Gregor as my defence last while and haven't done great since Boruc imploded v Arsenal....
Had 2 FT and dumped Boruc For Guzan and Whittaker for Nathan Baker there now......Villa haven't bad fixtures for next 4 or 5 weeks.
Will move Clyne out next week.

Indeed, brother. But as we know the path of righteousness is beset on all sides by evil men. Like James Chester for example, the one cheap defender I've invested in this season who went and got injured for 8 weeks or so.

Hopefully, this Welshman Gabbidon won't disappoint me so, as I merely require him to provide me with 6 points or more at the weekend and then I shall let him rest upon my bench until the year 2014. :D

    Hi all,

Looking for some advice with my team:

    Have 3 suspended & 3 doubtful

    Looking at:

    Fonte to cheap(er) def
    Oscar to Hazard
    Colback to other mid
    Brady to other mid

    Team
    Migs , Davis
    Coleman Merts Ward Vlaar Fonte
    Oscar Ramsey Brady Morrison Colback

Have 2 FTs & 3.5 in the kitty

    61.8% of people own Ramsey.

38.2% of people own yaya toure.

100% of us are either a yaya man or a Ramsey man :)

another one bites the dust. There cant be more than 5 or 6 of us lunatics left at this stage.

Still here lads. No Ramsey / Toure ever. 12,000 & going places! If Ramsey scores anything more than 2 in these tough fixtures it shall test a mans resolve!!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Oviedo is the best value midfielder apart from Morrison :D Rose from 4.3 to 4.4 tonight

So Mignolet held out. Dropped to 97.5. Why would anyone bring him in at this stage?

1 FT done, gabbidon in for clyne, i think i'll be following others here and going with a couple of cheap defenders and trying to shore up my midfield.

just looking ahead to my next transfer for next week (wrong thread i know) but what are people's thoughts on wes brown at 4.3? sunderland's fixtures over the next few weeks aren't bad.

Im looking at brown, bardsley or mannone as a way of getting into sunderland defence. Wont do it till dec 21. My only fear with brown is he is quite injury prone.

yeah i looked at bardsley too as they're a similar price, (i don't feel o'shea is worth the extra .5) but what is swaying me towards brown over bardsley is his added goal threat. I know bardsley has scored 2 recently but i'd be surprised if he scores more than once more in the remainder of the season.
Brown is injury prone though and with fixtures coming thick and fast you want to ensure you have a full squad to choose from.
I'll see how they get on today anyway as I won't be making the transfer this week anyway.

Why is everyone getting Shelvey in?
He's gone up 0.2 in 2 days and likely to go up again tonight (before he even plays).
The chaps a loose cannon. He could just as easily get sent off as score...

    Have I missed something?

He has the following between now and Jan 19th:
    09 Dec 20:00 Gameweek 15 Hull City (H)
    15 Dec 13:30 Gameweek 16 Norwich (A)
    22 Dec 16:00 Gameweek 17 Everton (H)
    26 Dec 15:00 Gameweek 18 Chelsea (A)
    28 Dec 15:00 Gameweek 19 Aston Villa (A)
    01 Jan 12:45 Gameweek 20 Man City (H)
    11 Jan 17:30 Gameweek 21 Man Utd (A)
    19 Jan 13:30 Gameweek 22 Tottenham (H)

Hull and Norwich are the only games I'd give them a chance of winning out of that. Two decent fixtures? Hardly worth the risk.

And Norwich is next sunday after they have to play St Gallen away at 6pm Thursday night,

They are playing sunday at home and then away on Thursday and sunday, not worth getting Shelvey but who knows

Im doing the exact same some of the weaker teams have great fixtures coming up.Im going Terry B Turner Ollson Bardsley gabbidon. Will play Terry and the two players with the best fixtures.Plan is coming into play from GW 17.
Games Norwich C palace Cardiff Sunderland
    GW 17 Sunderland A Newcastle H Liverpool A Norwich H
    GW 18 Fulham H Villa A Sthampton H Everton A
    Gw 19 Man UTd H Man City A Sunderland H Cardiff A
    GW 20 C Palace A Norwich H Arsenal A A Villa H
    GW 21 Everton A Spurs A West Ham H Fulham A
    Gw 22 Hull H Stoke H Man City A Southampton H
    Gw 23 Newcastle H Hull H Man United A Stoke H
    Gw 24 Cardiff A Arsenal A Norwich H Newcastle A
    Gw 25 Man City H WBA H Swansea A Hull H
    Gw 26 West Ham A Everton A A Villa H Man City A
    Gw 27 Spurs H Man UTD H Hull H Arsenal A
That brings us up to the end of Feb and bar GW 27 there are always atleast 2 game Id be relatively confident of a clean sheet. Im going all out attack.
    Computer skills are dreadful apologies.

After this weeks defensive disasters I've just bookmarked this post!!

You could have gotten Dixie Dean for the same money, he once scored 60 goals in a season, that's the kind of replacement you needed for Aguero 3 weeks ago.:p
