Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That very generous of you. While Everton held their own for long periods of the game there was 10/15 minutes in the second half where United threw everything at them and they just about survived it. Saying that, it was the best midfield performance I've seen from an Everton side in years, players who are not only of capable but encouraged to hold onto the ball.

I could be way off here but I presume your an Everton fan

What's life like under Martínez, compared to Moyes? From the outside Martínez has made your team play alot better stuff. Everton keep the ball alot more, alot more passing. Its like Everton arent held back anymore.

    What do you think?

In fairness to Moyes, we were playing some of the best football in the PL this time last year and its been forgotten very quickly

We didn't quite attack with the numbers we do now though. There were SIX blue shirts in the box when Oviedo scored!

    Good result for Everton.

Didn't think they had much hope of getting anything before kick off, as even though Martinez has improved them, any time they have caused United trouble in the past it has been through Moyes rough in your face tactics rather than by playing football. Thought United, especially with Fellaini would have used the same approach tonight.

I'd have Moyes back in the morning. That's not taking anything away from Martinezs achievements but as Laois man has said, last season Everton played great football and should have been closer to a top 4 finish. Martinez has benefited from Moyes squad, made some changes and it's worked. Its still early days.

I think it was 50/0 right up to the goal. Ye had chances, so did we. We had good spell and maybe just shaded it if any team did.

But ye scored, we did not.

    Hence why better team won

    my opinion of course:)

Think Man U had a good 15 minute or so spell in each half but Everton walked the midfield battle for the other hour.

That 15min spell was when Barkley was taken off and left the midfield short, when Osman was brought on the problem was addressed.
