Just caught up on the latest embedded series. I gotta say it I like Mendes as a fighter and a person and have done now for a while.

It's my feeling that he will be a tougher matchup for Conor than the 'already beaten' Brazillian. What do you folks think about that?

Aldo has beaten Chad Mendes twice. So Aldo would be the tougher match up.

Is Chad Mendes the best fighter Conor has ever fought? Yes.

Will on paper is it a tough fight? Yes

Stylistically will it present different challenges? Yes.

Is Chad better than Aldo? No.

No one said Mendes is better than Aldo, they said he's a tougher match-up. Not that implausible given we know very little about Conors wrestling.

So the question is whether one of the most dominant champions in MMA history would have been the easier fight?

    That's just silly.

A lot of people are of that opinion tbf

You're just twisting it to make it sound silly. Aldo is GOAT of the division but he would gave stood with Conor which would have suited him, Chad could potentially have a massive wrestling advantage. It really isn't that hard to understand.

Just about beat him that second time, and what a fight it was.

Thats what I'm saying it's a different challenge than expected.

Never said he was better than Jose but a different animal he is.

Its really not. We'll leave it there though.

Aldo is not a wrestler and he seems to have been doing just fine over the past 7 years a champion.

To think a guy who has lost twice to Aldo would be a tougher fight is silly. It doesn't make sense.

    fighters make fights not styles.

You've got to be kidding me, styles absolutely make fights. Where are you coming up with this?

If you are good enough at MMA one style of fighting should not hamper you.

He has done fine because he has an incredible take down defense and can avoid wrestling when he wants to

He pulled it out of his culo, or should I say the other fella's lol. Serious echo in the room.

This does not make any sense. Take down defence is wrestling.
