I would like to pay a little more each month than my current payment.
My mortgage is variable rate.I only took it out in October 2012.
    What is the procedure ?
    Thanks

    Hi alexr1,

Thanks for contacting us on Boards.

You can transfer to your mortgage on Banking 365 online
You can find information on this and a Mortgage Overpayment Calculator here

    I hope this helps.

Will the extra payment be taken off the mortgage automatically?, or will the op have to inform BOI that they want to overpay like most other mortgage providers.

    Hi dobsdave,

There are a number of payment options advised on the above link. We would recommend talking to the Mortgages Team, on 01 611 33 33, prior to making any additional payments, to determine how this would impact the particular mortgage in question.

    Thanks
    Tara
