Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Didn't see the game lads. How good were we and how poor were Norwich?

We won 5-1, isn't that enough?

We were decent. Norwich were decent. Suarez was insane.
    Norwich were awful.

The scoreline flatters us hugely in many ways. It doesn't flatter Suarez, but as a team as whole, it probably does.

We were awful first 15, terrible passing, very disjointed.

    Then the Suarez show started.

Totally changed the game and we got our tails up.

Played better 2nd half, but still very sloppy at stages and far too many misplaced passes and bad decision-making.

It could have been a very different game without Suarez, who knows.

We made Hull look great at the weekend, and who knows the same might have happened tonight if Suarez hadn't turned the game

    Norwich were awful.

They were playing ok before Suarez took over. Collapsed after that.

Feel absolutely privileged to have witnessed that performance from Suarez.

    Genius at work.

Sorry but of course the game would have been different without Suarez, he scored 4 wonder goals.

People seem to criticise a good performance but he is vital to this team and I don't see what is wrong with it. He's a big player and big players change games.

Would Madrid and Barcelona be as good without Ronaldo and Messi?

    Are Spurs weakened without Bale?

Thought the midfield were good, but the amount of space they were given by Norwich was an embarrassment.

The only criticism I would have was Agger's defending. At this stage, I think I would have Wisdom or Kelly ahead of him. They certainly couldn't do any worse.

A great win tonight, didn't see that score line coming, but once we have Suarez in the team and in that kind of form then we always have a chance or scoring.

GK: Mingolet did fine, didnt really need to do much. Distribution tonight was a bit better than previous games

    Defense:

Johnson: not bad, but his touch again was a bit off and was sloppy in possession at times

Skrtel : Had a good game, didn't see any negatives, should be a first 11 starter each game

Agger: Aerially week on a number of occasions and was out muscled for the goal. Needs a couple of games on the bench, Sahko in his place.

Flannagan: Solid, got stuck in and is growing in confidence. Weak point is his attacking play. Got forward a little bit tonight.

Henderson: Was ok, had a couple of shooting chances. Needs to impose himself against these weaker teams

Gerrard: Mixed bag, sloppy in the first half. Had a few chances to score in the game. Showing he's not lost it all but needs to be shining a bit brighter in these games

Coutinho: Ok, had a lot of the ball. Was trying too hard to score in the first half, glued midfield and Suarez

Allen: Ok, still not sure what he does for the team. Sloppy at times and slows the game down too much. Unlucky with a nice shot. Squad player at best imo.

Sterling: Ok, needs to start believing in himself a bit. Doesn't make the right choices, should have squared it to Suarez on the counter for certain goal. Got bullied off the ball a few times. Took his goal well, but needs a spell on loan to develop physically.

Suarez: Sensational, first goal is contender for goal of the season. Second, fox in the box. Third, great control and shot. Another great free kick for the fourth, seems to never miss a free these days.

    In summary:

We had lots of chances in this game and could have scored more than 5. Norwich were muck in midfield, we were just ok in midfield. Need to get some quality players bought in Jan/Summer for the center of mid. But it really was Suarez v Norwich again tbh, hope we can keep him and try and push for the CL. Hopefully we are still in the mix in Jan and FSG see this and get the cheque book out to give us that chance.

Thought he was poor again today.
