Well, that sets it up nicely for Sunday!
I wasn't expecting so many off the new album tbh. They played 8 off it, and didn't play Porno, which is one of the better tracks off the album.
The crowd seemed pretty subdued, but Sunday'll be a different story.
The tables seem to have turned over on toutless too, with people now requesting tickets for the gig, which is encouraging.

They won't be playing as long on Sunday surely? Antichrist Television Blues was the only thing I really missed from that set...

Disapponted they're not playing Porno on this tour, it's one of the only songs on Reflektor that I really like.

Yep best song on the album. They did a verse of it when I saw them last year as an intro to Afterlife but haven't seen them play it since.

How did tonight's show rate? Was out at the pub so didn't see and I'm data roaming so can't watch vids

The set tonight was 1hr 45mins approx. It'll be pretty much the same length, seeing as they come on stage at 8.30 on Sunday.

I wish there was more Neon Bible on the setlist, should still be good regardless

How safe do you think it would be to go this gig on your own? The friend I was going with cancelled and I'm raging I have to miss it.

We got a bit of a mention during the interview after the gig.

"So whats next for Arcade Fire?"

"Dublin , We gotta another big gig in Dublin on Sunday"

What do you mean by safe? There'll be no hassle at the gig. You'll be fine to go on your own.

The line is actually "And if you can't feel it, then the rules are dead":D

It is a cack song though. Having Wake Up after it emphasizes the point even more so.

It's actually "and if you can't feel it, then the roots are dead"

    :)

Suppose the Glastonbury crowd and Dublin crowd will be different since everyone on Sunday is going to see AF while at a festival a lot of people might only know a song or 2 and are going for the sake of it
I'd say there's a fair few people going primarily for THE PIXIES.
Watched the start of the Glasto gig but turned it off; dint want to ruin the surprise, excitement by knowing the rough setlist, which songs come after which.
I've seen them 3 or 4 times and they're always great. Such energy and happiness.

I'm sure when I'm on my deathbed I'll be satisfied I made the right call to watch two more World Cup games and not let myself get a bit more behind with work rather than go to a potentially life-transforming gig...

Yep. Much truth to this assertion, I am one and know more! However, I have been swotting up on the AF back catalogue on Deezer this week all the same. Good show on Glasto last night too. Pixies streaming on BBC website tonight also.

What I mean by safe is - possible being harassed/attacked/mugged. Also I'll have to go home alone at night. I don't know, seems risky? Haven't decided yet whether to go.

But that could happen anywhere. No more risk by going to a concert.

There'll be no hassle at a gig like this, you'll be fine! After the gig there will surely be plenty of concert goers heading home in the same general direction as yourself so no need to worry about being alone - Plus gardai on crowd control & traffic duty. Go along, have a pint and enjoy the gig!

It'll be grand. The crowd that Arcade Fire/Pixies attract is wildly different from the crowd at Swedish House Mafia last summer. :D

Based on the last few Pixies gigs I was at the main Pixies fanbase is now in their 30s-40s. They'll be supping pints and enjoying the music, me being one of them!

It will be a super safe gig and the methods of getting there and back are probably safer than your daily routes!

Very true. Also in a nice part of town. I mean you can meet trouble anywhere of course, but you don't have to negotiate the inner city late at night like if the gig was in Croker or somewhere.

I'd say so it was released by ticketmaster and for most, if not all, of their other dates arcade fire have been taking to the stage at about 8.30/45

Hey guys. Random question here but does anyone know where the emergency exits are in relation to the stage in Marlay Park. I'm doing voluntary stewarding tomorrow and just wondering if I'll be anywhere near the stage.
