    hi..
    i have a santa pressie that santa needs help with...
    When Santa switched it on, he has to connect to wifi, when password is entered the name of the network is there wit " saved ,secured with WEP" but santa cannot get past that screen ! he needs help !!! :confused:

    It could be you entered the WEP key incorrectly (I would also strongly advise you re-configure your router to use WPA/WPA2 encryption settings instead). To re-enter the network settings on Android:
    Open Settings App->Click Wifi>Click on your Wifi network and click the "Forget" button. The Wifi network will now be forgotten and you can click the network again to re-enter the encryption key

    thanks for the reply nick.
    its a tesco hudl, I was on the phone to vodafone, and got the password off them, and entered it, but i keep getting the same message as i said in the prev post... I cant get past that screen with all the available wifi connections (mine , neighbours) .....:confused:

    Is this at the initial setup screen for wifi? If it is try disabling the wifi by pulling down on the title bar if present and pressing the wifi button off. Also try putting a pin in the reset hole, if present and try again. Are you sure you didn't change the WEP key?

    Yes the initial screen, Turn it on, you have to select network/wifi... i select my wifi, enter the password, it says Connected, but thats as far as it goes...

    I will try the reset button.. Thanks nick !
