Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Home side having quickly put the Hull game behind them now have to make sure of bagging the points here with the 3 of the next 4 matches being tough away games to Spurs, City and Chelsea.

The main points of interest are will Lucas return for Allen and shall Agger pay for failing to deal with the solitary good high ball that Norwich played on Wednesday? I think most of us would like to see Sakho in to deal with Nolan esp.

The Hammers have a few injuries/late tests and suspension to Morrison who would probably have provided the main danger.

Team in Agger out and Sakho in otherwise unchanged

    Mig
    Johnson--Skrtel-Sakho-Flanno
    Gerrard--Allen
    Hendo
    Coutinho
    Suarez---Sterling

Subs - Jones, Cissokho, Toure, Lucas, Moses, Alberto, Aspas.

West Ham United : Jaaskelainen; Demel, Tomkins, Collins, McCartney; Jarvis, Diame, Noble, Downing; Nolan; Maiga.

Subs Adrian, O'Brien, Collison, Diarra, C.Cole, J.Cole, Taylor

Cagey affair but Looking at the hammers defense Suarez should be able to rip it apart.

2 nil, Suarez with both goals.

    Quiet in here..here...here..here..

Going to go for 2-0 to 'pool. Sakho to provide a clean sheet and score the second from a corner. Allen for the first, continuing his form from wednesday night to boss posession again

Would like to see Aspas and Alberto get some game time, hopefully we're 3-0 up at half time and came give them a run out for 45 minutes :D

Alberto seems to be more technically sound but doesn't seem to enjoy moving much faster than a light jog. Aspas is the opposite, runs like a terrier but never seems to know where the ball is going to go after it touches his foot.

I'd like to see Aspas get some game time as well I think he could link up well with Suarez if given time.

Scary thing is I can see him scoring a screamer today giving two fingers to Rodgers.

This would be the typical type of game for Liverpool to stutter in when we all expect a win.
    Hopefully doesn't happen this time.

9 mins in and no Suarez goal. He's off form.

The sense of expectancy when Suarez gets the ball is amazing.

Should have scored, seems to be too timed with the shot

Nearly hammers goal, followed by a glorious Coutinho pass to Suarez straight at the keeper.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

We're playing much much better so far than we have done in the previous two games (Suarez aside).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

Liverpool getting behind the west ham midfield very easily.

Yeah, we should sell him now while he is still worth a few bob. He will be worthless if he goes a half without a goal.:D

    Good recovery by Flannagan.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

    Flanno weak against Diame

LFC horribly static when the Downing ball not cleared fully

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,548 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

No matter what back four we play I'm never confident they won't concede.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Our defenders should have been told not to block shots after last week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Good man Jordan....get them out of the way early.

But why them here as you then have to react with spoilers.
Surely people know that other scores could be discussed here.

    Good save Ming! Johnson sucks!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

    I'm going to say it.

Coutinho's end product is nowhere near good enough.

Well and good if you can spot a pass but there's no point if you can never execute it.

    What a save Mignolet.

The type of save Reina wasn't making for the last few seasons.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,347 ✭✭✭✭Grayditch

Takes years off me when Mig does that. It worked, though.
