Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I'm going to say it.

Coutinho's end product is nowhere near good enough.

Well and good if you can spot a pass but there's no point if you can never execute it.

Newcastle say never is a bit harsh.

Check his stats, you must have missed a brilliant through ball earlier.

High crosses causing Pool defence problems still

Wish I could say I am shocked. Good save and then Sterling kilt us on the break

The type of pass he attempts is risky but when they come off they lead to goal scoring opportunities.

Started well, been a bit dodgy the last bit. Really could go either way at the minute.

Flanno is poor when he gets a quick return ball, nearly always a bad touch.

Sorry but I think that was a poor ball to him and he had no chance.

Absolute panic in the West Ham defence once Suarez gets the ball :)

Nolan seems to have a free pass to foul people today.

But the fact that there are so many around him when he is on the ball means we should be using the space others have better than we are.

Three strikes and he'll get a card.

    Bit anonymous sterling so far

Sterling needs to lose the instinctive reaction of looking for Gerrard when he gets the ball.

Seen enough of the ball but his use of it has been very poor.

West Ham defence doing their job well so far in keeping Liverpool out.
Of course people will forget that and say LFC not playing well as they haven't scored yet.

Sterling did well there. Flanagan turned far too easily at left-back.

A rare instance of Downing beating a defender.....it was outside his own 18 yard box, and it was Flanagn but you gotta take what you can.

Sterling pulls McCartney's shirt, falls over and gets a free

Don't get me wrong. He's a good player and he could be brilliant, but he's miles away from being the finished article. A side challenging for titles couldn't afford to rely on a player as profligate as he is to the extent we do.

He has plenty of time to improve. In 5 years time he could be one of the best 10s around. But right now he needs to improve a lot.
There's so many times you say (another one a second ago) "ooh, so close".
How many of them does he get?

In the last couple of games Sterling has been far more confident. He looks a different player.

Every time Sterling touches the ball it comes off him like just got an electric shock from it.

West Ham back six keeping us out.

We also need to stop those little 1-2's if we only have one player with the ball control to make them work.
