Wow! what a phenomenal game by Connacht, their defence was just immense, they never stopped working.

First defeat for Toulouse in the HEC at home in 5 years!

That's just brilliant! So happy, I was even more nervous than the last few mins of the NZ game....

And this goes out to Stephen Jones, after the Saracens game: You can stick it up your f*cking hole!

I've been a connacht fan for a long time now. I watched us countless times lose when we should have won, and put it up to to teams that outfinanced us, out capped us and looked down at us. We snatched defeat from the jaws of victory for so long i was not confident in the last run, was sure the combination of the ref and fitness would haunt us

Today is at last a moment to cherish, were we grinded out a victory from a very uncomfortable position. Come on connacht, come on the west.

Also, why oh why do i have an exam tomorrow, cant drink :(

Well done Connacht, finally got over the line, delighted for ye!

Hopefully in a few years time we can look back at this game and say "and that's what really made Connacht into the team they are today..."

Congrats Connacht from the Leinster fans! That was needed for pride and to draw a line under unlucky recent results. On and up!

    Well done Connacht.

But I have to confess to mixed feelings as the biggest beneficiaries may well be Saracens.

Some result. Congrats to the westies.

Not really. Toulouse still have it all in their own hands and will remain favourites.

What are Connachts chances of QF qualification as best runners up? They have Toulouse at home, then Zebre at home and finally away to Sarries.

The second best in the groups are Leicester with 11, Saracens with 10 and Cardiff and Connacht on 9.

Leicester still have to play Montpellier away and Cardiff have Toulon. I suppose I have to acknowledge Connacht will be facing a mightily cheesed off Toulouse, albeit in Galway. Caradiff's group looks soft enough but you never know with Wlesch clubs and the HEC so there may be hope!

On a side note, French & English clubs crying and taking the ball home because smaller countries don't deserve so many teams in the competition? Or from a revenue point of view, what would a European Rugby cup be without Irish teams?

Well as a long time admirer of Stephen Jones this has been one helluva weekend for Irish rugby.

A word also to Pat Lam who is a really decent fella but not always with the coaching success he'd want. Coach, team and supporters must feel a million dollars right now!

Massive Massive fair focks to Carr btw, for a guy who is deservedly called on his defence, he was a rock today after the 3rd minute

failing to get the bp in zebre will probably cost us, theoretically we need a win next week, a bp win v zebre at home and at least 1 point v sarries to even come close.

Connacht need to forget about the rest of the season and pretend it starts from here. Go to France looking for a win.

What about at least a point v toulouse, a win v sarries and toulouse beating sarries well?

In the meantime, hopefully this will get ye back on track in the pro12 as well.

I guess that means we will have to finish top of the group then to qualify!
