Apologies if this has already been asked, tried searching but couldn't find any reference.

What is the law around burning real coal. Live 9 miles outside Cork City and am unable to get anything but smokeless for the last year. Heard people say it is now illegal to burn the real stuff, is that true?

Travel a bit further out of the city and into the country and have no problem getting the good stuff, can anyone explain this??

    Thanks

Cork smokeless area is expanding. Before it was only illegal to sell it, not for the householder to burn it (loop hole)
    Now it's illegal for both.
How the will enforce that in Cork will be fun to see.
2015 or 16 it will be a nationwide smokeless area.

Even the cigarette is now low smoke with some brands !
