Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dan why don't you head off to the races, meet up with your well informed friends and enjoy looking at the horse's walking around the parade ring and leave this thread alone.

    he studies the races.
he puts the horse up here
    he does not charge anyone
    he is up 121pts

and you are on here talking about the poor house,

as they say "there is one in every village"

I was about to say dont bother with the list del, and just put the choice up a half hour before the off. Remember you owe nobody here anything. Your thread, your winners, (and losers!! so your rules. but since youve decided against it. fine. Its looks like way too much trouble.

Still looking forward to your winning thread Dan, remember one winner in three and im happy.

Just did a quick tot there - he has turned over 165 points for a 121 point profit - that is 73% profit on total turn over which is just phenomenal

I don't think even the biggest pro punters would be realistically aiming for that kind of profit on turnover. On that basis you would expect things to level off between now and the end of the thread in August.

Been following this thread for a while now, very impressive stats Del,fair play.

Just coming across this thread for the 1st time....Some nice priced winners.
I like the look of Dundee today but if I was to have a bet on this race at a nice price I would have a little E.W. on Premier Portrait at 16/1.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 704 ✭✭✭jodaw

    Hi Del,

In fairness i think Dan is trolling so i would simply ignore anything he posts without a response. The guy obviously does not have a clue since he is referencing a strike rate of 11 winneres from 53 selections as a terrible performance, when he does not mention the prices of the selection or the total ROI.

In short the returns "The Kid" is making are phenomenal and if his picks are not based on information, then I imagine it requires and keen eye and a serious amount of effort to arrive at these selections.

I have been following this thread a while, however I would not back any of the selections that you put up. Despite the facts the results are very good, it requires many thousand selections to be confident in long term profitability.

It is a very interesting expirement and the returns are excellent off an not overly aggressive staking plan.

Thank you for taking the time to post selections and i am very interested to see this thread to its conclusion.

As with anyone that demonstrates success there will always be some begruders that will try to derail things with non-sensical arguments. So please ignore comments from posters such as this fellow Dan as he clearly does not have a clue.

I will keep a watching brief on Dundee today.

Dan you are by quite a distance the most clueless poster I've come across in all of my years on the site. You claim 11 out of 53 a poor return as if he was backing odds on shots or something.

Bookies must love you and your 2 euro EW Yankee. Why on earth would he accept your challenge to do one and see who is better? Long term profits are what astute gamblers should look for and I guarantee you that it is an absolute minuscule number of EW Yankee punters that will achieve this unless they are lucky enough to achieve a big win on one.

Anymore off topic posts will lead to bans

Well done so far, and I hope it continues but.........(swings & roundabouts) !

One Q, please explain Red = Winning bets ?!

/actually I think my pension would be in better hands with 'the Kid' that the gamblers it's currently with, ie. a colleague of mine (whose 7 years away from retirement) had €40k wiped off his pension a few years ago !

    Morris,
Shares can go down as well as up as you say swings and roundabouts

I'm a big believer that backing win only is more profitable long term than backing each-way. So for lets say the kid advises 2pts ew then I'd be more inclined to have 4pts win. This requires a more disciplined approach and backing a placed horse can be tough to watch.

But based on the info on the above list (I've only done a quick calculation so may be slightly out), if you bet win only i.e 2pts ew = 4pts win, then the figures would read:

    Starting Bank: 100
    Bank: 341.75
    Profit: 241.75

Can we knock this nonsense on the head before the gullible ones round here end up in the poorhouse.
Re your horse 'dundee' I just plucked a horse out of my ar$e, 'solstice son' and I bet he will finish ahead of dundee in that race !

    2nd

Dundee left it just too late or the race was 100/150 yards too short, you decide!

    solstice son was where?

Only did the win, but money back on PP can't complain.

Interesting sibersha but thats just this year, would you not need the last three years figures to say whether thats the best way forward, I'd imagine the kid looks back and where he went wrong each year and if it was that obvious he would revert to it but interesting all the same.

Surely this Dan character can't be for real FFS? If you are for real Dan then I will leave you with a little known quote in the world of Mugs like yourself..

    Singles are for Pros

    Accas are shows.

I second that, The horse racing forum i think is one of the worsts forums for attacking the poster instead of the post. I include mods as well on that too.

Interesting from sibersha, but as you say del roy you would need to check back further.
If the kid is looking back on his figures it makes him look very disciplined , when I backed seriously a few years back I kept good records, it's very interesting to look back in the cold light of day and see where your leaks are.

In one year I broke even but on checking back found that I'd made €3k on std betting and lost 3k on spread betting. A real eye opener.

Keep up the good work del roy, excellent thread.

dan has been at this craic before for years

I was on boards maybe 5/6 years before I used the ignore button
for the first time, just couldnt look at the same tripe that's been
    posted here by same
been banned from other forums for the same nonsense which
he obviously gets a kick out of so the ignore button is the way
    to go

He slated me and others in the fancies for today thread
for after being on a bad run and kept ignoring
others posters pleas to put up his own selections
of course the one day he did put up 3/4 picks....they all lost
and he didn't post after that

laughable to have a go at someone who been making
it pay bigtime but I wouldnt expect anything less
