Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Would anyone recommend any pocket radios from experience? For at sporting events, out walking, in the garden, that sort of thing.

All responses appreciated, thanks in advance.

I have the Sony SRF59. I am a bit of a radio enthusiast and I bought it because of it's reputation for very good medium wave reception. Which is well deserved and it is also very good on FM. It has no speaker, only works with heaphones, I don't know if that is what you mean by pocket radio? I use my own headphones rather than the ones that came with it.

You can get it in Argos or the usual places online.

Here is a review from a radio hobby site.

Many thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for, just something to listen to radio on the go, I just didn't really know what to call it. I was looking at that one (and a few others) on ebay but nice to have an opinion on it. Thanks again.

If you haven't taken the plunge consider the SRF-M37L as per the pic.

This is a great radio with the added advantage of LW which will give you RTE Radio 1,BBC Radio 4 plus daytime French and one German station.

Not only the LW but 20 presets.

    A clock.

    Finally a lock preset function.

I'm a bit of a junkie when it comes to little radios.

I use a Sony SRF-S84 day in day out, great little beast, especially FM stereo with a bass boost.

Hope this might be of help.:)
