Can't stop email notifications on samsung 3 mini - help!

    I've gone in to email settings and turned off notifications and selected ringtone silent but it still dings everytime I get an email - its driving me mad. Any help appreciated.

    My wife has the exact same problem. She got a very knowledgeable friend to look into it for her but he was unable to resolve the issue. He did manage to stop it happening during specific hours, by stopping it from syncing during the night.

    Slightly unrelated, but my samsung tab 10 keeps uploading old read emails sometimes all from day say a month ago I delete them from trash but they keep reappearing in my in box next day a differnt load will appear

    Managed to solve the problem by performing a factory reset in settings. Be sure to back up everything on the phone as it will all be deleted (contacts, music, photos,etc.) if you do not. This took awhile but well worth it as the problem is resolved. Samsung customer service recommended this approach!
