    Hi RS Team,

My friend has recommended me to join this forum in order to get professional advise & quote.

I will be buying new TV & Hifi set to my flat and I would like to get your opinion and quote if possible.

I am afraid I have limited budget and my first question is if it is better to buy now or after Xmass? :)

I was looking around and I was thinking to purchase following set:

    1. TV
*I was looking for a decent 47-50" LED screen with build-in web browser maybe Sony KDL50W656?
*Little problem here is that the power lead would need to be long enough to reach socket (4m) - please suggest.

    2. TV bracket
*with tilting which is good for Plasterboard (I have 19mm thick plasterboard  - it should be fine right?)

    3. Amp
*Something which can do SD2HD upscaling. Onkyo TXNR626?

    4. 5.1 Speakers
*Tannoy HTS 201 (with standing front speakers) if not possible than HTS 101?

    5. Central speaker bracket
*the one which could be mounted just under TV

    6. B-ray player
*No major requirements here. Please suggest unit which can load b-ray content fast and it is reliable

    7. HDMI leads
*Two v.short which will go from my TV-box & B-ray player to amp (they will be just beside each other)
*One long which will go from TV to Amp (approx 4-5m)

    8. Speaker cabel
*in total would be approx 25m

    9. I am living in Dublin so just wondering about delivery as well.

If this will help I would prefer picture, sound quality & SMART functions rather than power.

Hope it is everything... & I am looking forward hearing from you.

    Regards.

    Yaloo.

Thanks for the opportunity to quote - and on the 'when is the best time to buy' unfortunately I dont have full sale details yet - but there will be reductions after Christmas, but many of the best TV lines are already seriously reduced and some of the best units are running short on stock already and may not last through to Christmas,

     1. TV
*I was looking for a decent 47-50" LED screen with build-in web browser maybe Sony KDL50W656?
*Little problem here is that the power lead would need to be long enough to reach socket (4m) - please suggest.

The 50W656 is a good option, as above its in short supply already though - If it was me and I wanted to spend £699 - I'd probably go for the Panasonic TXL47ET60 at £699 - it adds 3D and has extra connectivity over the Sony - and the picture quality is really excellent!
    http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/panasonic/viera-txl47et60b/pana-txl47et60b

     2. TV bracket
*with tilting which is good for Plasterboard (I have 19mm thick plasterboard  - it should be fine right?)

If its just a small degree of tilt that would be fine - you can use something like the Pixel PXTB3260 which will give you about a 10 degree tilt which is enough for most purposes without too much strain being put on your plasterboard wall - whatever you do please ensure that you get a good fixing though and if at all possible do try to fix to at least one stud.Whilst these TV's are not too heavy - they are still about 15-16kgs and they do need a decent fixing!
    http://www.richersounds.com/product/other-tv-accessories/pixel/pxtb3260/pixe-pxtb3260

     3. Amp
*Something which can do SD2HD upscaling. Onkyo TXNR626?

The Onkyo TXNR626 upscales to 4K and at £299.95 its really great value - I'd also have a look at the Sony STRDN1040 which is also great value, it is a little more expensive but taken overall in the complete system its a really good option:

    http://www.richersounds.com/product/av-receivers/sony/strdn1040/sony-strdn1040
    http://www.richersounds.com/product/av-receivers/onkyo/txnr626/onky-txnr626-blk

    4. 5.1 Speakers
*Tannoy HTS 201 (with standing front speakers) if not possible than HTS 101?
The HTS201 is in really short supply at the moment, we do have the HTS101 but that only has front 'satellite' style speakers and not floorstanding speakers - there are very few packs available with floorstanding front speakers - we can do the Cambridge  S AV pack including the S90 subwoofer at £449.95
    http://www.richersounds.com/product/speaker-packages/cambridge-audio/s-av-pack/camb-s70-pack
or we can also do the Tannoy SFX 5.1 at £199.95 and you can get additional stands for the front speakers
    http://www.richersounds.com/product/speaker-packages/tannoy/sfx5.1/tann-sfx5.1-blk

However I would highly recommend the Monitor Audio MASS system with a pair of their dedicated floor stands if yo are looking to build a serious system! We can do a deal to soften the expense of this stunning 5.1 system if its part of a system.
    http://www.richersounds.com/product/speaker-packages/monitor-audio/mass-5.1/moni-audio-mass

     6. B-ray player
*No major requirements here. Please suggest unit which can load b-ray content fast and it is reliable

The current face is the Panasonic DMPBDT130 if you are looking for a decent unit that wont break the bank!
    http://www.richersounds.com/product/blu-ray/panasonic/dmpbdt130/pana-dmpbdt130-r2

     7. HDMI leads
*Two v.short which will go from my TV-box & B-ray player to amp (they will be just beside each other)
*One long which will go from TV to Amp (approx 4-5m)
I'd always recommend decent HDMI's ( I know there will be a chorus of people saying that all HDMI leads are the same - but they are never out on an install with me when we have budget leads and experience handshaking issues - its especially important on longer runs

Id normally go for the QED Eflex for the shorter run and maybe the Cambridge Audio 914 5Mtr lead for the longer run:
    http://www.richersounds.com/product/av-interconnects/qed/profile-eflex-hdmi-1m/qed-qe5011
    http://www.richersounds.com/product/av-interconnects/cambridge-audio/hdmi-914-5m/camb-hdmi-914-5m

     8. Speaker cabel
*in total would be approx 25m
Once again I'd recommend something decent like the Cambridge Audio Symphony 200 at £1.49/ Mtr or better still the QED SIlver Anniversary XT

    http://www.richersounds.com/product/speaker-cables/qed/silver-anniversaryxt/qed-sil-anniv-xt-cab
    http://www.richersounds.com/product/speaker-cables/cambridge-audio/symphony-200/gale-symphony-200

    9. I am living in Dublin so just wondering about delivery as well.

No problem - we deliver to Dublin every day, but the Sony 50W656 is not a TV that we ship at the moment

Hope it is everything... & I am looking forward hearing from you.
Keep us posted and when you have settled on your options or if you need further advice - drop me a line and I'll work out a system price for you and if it's possible to include some extra discount - I'll do my best..

Thanks again for the post and the opportunity to quote and keep us posted if we can assist,

    Best regards,

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
