Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Champions-League-gegner.jpg

Ins and outs: Shinji Kagawa could be available again after missing the defeat to Newcastle through illness, while Marouane Fellaini is eligible once more after being suspended for the game against Leverkusen. David Moyes has reported that Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra and Chris Smalling are injury doubts.

If United win it'll be the first time in 6 years that they won 3 home UCL ties in a row at home. It'd be nice to see Moyes & the team set a welcome record for a change.

Must win game, we can't get beaten 3 in a row at home, last time that happened was in the 60s.

I expect Rooney, Kagawa and RvP to start.

0-0, which will be wildly celebrated.

    3-1 United.

A welcome relief from the league although the prospect of 3 home defeats in a row will loom large if Utd dont take the lead.

Even I, who can't see wins comings in the league at all, cant believe we'd lose to Shaktar tonight. Surely not...

Shakthar will finish 3rd if Leverkusen beat Socidead and Shakthar lose, should make their approach this very positive which could play into Utds hands.

    Utd 2-1 I reckon.

I was going to have a moan about this being the ITV game but that Shaktar side is brimming with a chunk of next summers Brazil squad.

I'm watching it, but I am fully expecting to be bored throughout and possibly extremely disappointed come full time.

Ah well, this is my new life as a United fan.

Ah I see you're still in the denial phase. I too was in denial up until Saturday afternoon when I raced through anger, bargaining, and depression. Now I'm chilling out in acceptance. ;)

    Great stuff there from Jones

Lots of empty seats but plenty of notice coming from the stetford end..... Good to see the fans getting behind the team after a bad week

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,205 ✭✭✭Gringo180

Whats with all the empty seats?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,687 ✭✭✭Danger781

Can't believe Giggs is playing again.

Perhaps he will give that leadership that the squad has been so noticeably lacking as of late.

    Interesting squad all the same.

Midweek champions league game that has no meaning as we are in the last 16 already, common enough sight for midweek games.

They were all the people who went over for the craic to see a good game. They don't bother now. You only get these loyal, proper fans.

2-0 to Bayern. City getting completely battered.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,687 ✭✭✭Danger781

    Sheeit so close there Shakhtar..

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 755 ✭✭✭sea_monkey

So you can only be a loyal, proper fan if you can afford to go to manchester during the week?

Not true. Lots of ST holders won't bother. Arranging time off work and the hassle of a game with little riding on it will just keep people away.

Crowd at OT are sh1te anyway tbh! Very rare you get a good atmosphere anywhere in the PL now. Mostly away fans doing all the singing!

So much crossing, it's not a reliable tactic. Grrrr

Januzaj is the only United player that seems to have any creativity or confidence. Awful awful side

    Ponderous opening 20.

Such a lack of tempo and ideas in the Utd team. Hope they pick up the tempo soon.

Giggs Jones Janujaz and Kags trying their best. Young is gash.
