Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Watched the replay in slow motion a few times there, I can't see how that horse won by a short head.

I'd say the angle of the TV camera and the line is awful. If you look at the photo finish from an angle it looks like they are closer than they are.

    watched it three times
    love to see that print

I'd have been counting my money there on the runner up
reading it was matched in the foto at 21 in the betfair forum
some seriously burnt fingers in that foto

The print was shown... Pretty clear cut.

I'd love to have seen that print, can't for the life of me figure how that won no matter what way the line goes.

Just heard there that Quantitiveeasing is expected to run well tomorrow. Yard thinks that it should be up to going very close.

I thought Nina left him too much to do there.

Just onto an old pal who is involved with Dinkum Diamond and was told that all the connections will be at Newmarket today to watch it. Horse will have to find a bit to beat the favourites, but at 25/1 they feel it has a good ew shout.

that would be in the 2.40 to save everybody trying to find a runners index, fingers crossed! :)

That race was hot and Dinkum Diamond most definitely tried but wasn't quite good enough. Don't think the connection will fancy that stiff a test again.

Been told that the Crawford's horse Taniokey is a good thing in the bumper at Carlisle. Horse was supposed to run at Fairyhouse a few days ago, but was pulled out as today's race was viewed as a better prospect. The expectation is that if they can get a shiny 1 next to this horses's form then it can be sold for big money. Current best price is 5/2 but I can't see that lasting.

    Dead heat ffs!

Mad race with a furlong to go i was counting my money.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,564 ✭✭✭kiers47

Mccoys traded at 1.01 for 10k before trading at 3 in the photo. A bit of a crazy finish.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,370 ✭✭✭rossom

Balls in mouth stuff there! Thought it was all sewn up inside the furlong, then headed and the filly showed a tremendous attitude to fight back.

In hindsight, she was clearly left in front too soon but I don't think you could blame Crawford for the ride as McCoy's mount looked beaten.

looked beat then with a few yards left
    happy with that
    thanks frankie

thought we might have just got it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,370 ✭✭✭rossom

I think everyone here can say as soon as the race ended if you were offered the dead heat you would have taken it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,931 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

it looked either a win for us or a dh more I watched it and the exchanges were 1.51 v 2.88 mcoy seconds after they flashed past giving
    me more hope

    From the other thread.
    2:15 - Noble Mission (11/4)
    2:45 - Orchestra (4/1)
    8:40 - Taniokey (5/2)

All in a treble with Noble Mission and Taniokey in a double.

    GL all.
If Taniokey had been beat, I would have got nothing. As it stands, I win €110, but it could easily have been €170, so plenty of conflicting emotions for me :pac:

All in all, not bad for a fiver worth of bets.

Was told this morning from a very decent source to back Burn the Boats in the 3.50 at Ascot tomorrow. Horse is apparently flying at home and they think he should go close off a mark of 95 with Keane taking off another 3lbs. Obviously luck in running will be needed in such a huge and competitive field. 20/1 best available price i think. Anyway just passing on what i was told.

Disaster lads apologies to anyone who was on. Thats the second time the horse has gone across the water and the second time he has disappointed seriously doubt if connections will send him over again.

Backing a horse in a bumper of this poor grade, carrying a penalty is surely a no go although I haven't seen his win. Price is plenty skinny I'd say he will surely start evens or bigger.

    Good luck with it though.

The tip I got was for the double, trainer 11 wins in last 12 bumpers,5/2 double not the best odds but will do me if it wins, better than a loser at any price, will be sure to get u a better price next time tho lad....

Jesus relax I was only pointing out that it is tough to win a bumper under a penalty. 5/2 is fine in fairness good luck to you.

Bells n Banjos out of it 2 out. Suddenly it's flying home.
    Weird,shady.
