    looking at buying a second hand bike for commuting 10k eachway to/from work ,mostly flat but 1/2 k downhill/uphill.funds aren.t there foe new ,was looking at this ,would it be suitable for me as a starter bike? is it good value:,im a male 48y old,fairly fit,13 stone,non smoker,5ft 10in

    Looks like it's got a puncture in the rear tyre, so maybe you'll learn about fixing them before you go cycling.

    The bike listed on cycling adverts looks like the best value commuter bike I've seen around for a while - just check if the size will work for you:

    Looks very suitable for what you have in mind. Probably needs a bit of a service and a general clean up and lubrication (avoid WD40!). You could do this yourself or there many youtube videos on what to do.
