Haha, same here. Listened to them for the first time the other day...awful! (HAIM that is!)

Oh totally, don't get all the hype cos they are boring and kinda shíte!

Wondering if the security will be the same as Forbidden Fruit and other recent Marlay Park gigs?

Arrived at FF around 3pm and had a pat down and my bag searched. Got my drink thrown out and had to drink horrible Becks for the evening.

What was worse was, I saw people with cans in the arena later on, so I figure the closer you queue with a rush of people, the less likely you are to get searched?

You feel hard done by that you weren't allowed bring in banned items?

    Live, clashing with Haim apparently
doubt it, both were announced as playing on the main stage, so can't clash.

    Disclosure
    Haim
    Chvrches
    The 1975
    Sam Smith
    Hozier

Anybody know when the announcement is? Is it confirmed for today?

Probably feels hard done by that he had to pay for overpriced drink and didn't even have muh of a choice in what brand it was.

And yes, loads of people at one time and you'll more than likely get in. Just don't try and bring a full bag of drink in or anything.

I'm dying for the stage times to come out. I'll cry if Disclosure clash with Cyril Hahn, they're the two I want to see the most

To the people that went last year, how long do the mainstage acts tend to be? I hope it's at least hour sets

Here are the set times from last year:

Headliners got an hour and a half, subs slightly over the hour.

Really surprised to see Hozier that early in the day for someone who was fifth on the bill!

Looks like main stage all day Saturday so!

    Hi all

Sorry if I'm repeating an earlier question here but there's 36 pages to leaf through!

The website says no food is allowed to be brought in - is this strictly enforced does anyone know?! I'm celiac and can not eat food usually sold at festivals. I can't drink all day on an empty stomach...

    Any info would be appreciated!

Was also wondering about this; I'm a vegetarian which isn't usually too difficult to cater for but I don't really fancy living on overpriced chips for 3 days either? :/

if you have any sort of document that mentions it you might be ok to bring a small amount in.
there's usually a few gluten-free options at different food stalls.

maybe email them or ask on facebook/twitter might be best though.

I emailed them and in fairness to them they got back to me within about five minutes. They told me that due to specific dietary requirements I could bring in my own food, I just had to print off the email to show security on the day.

I'm happy enough with that but generally I think it's very unfair not allowing people to bring in their own food. People without 'specific dietary requirements' often don't want to eat the (usually) unhealthy crap sold at festivals all day either!

He would suit an early in the day gig though way better though I would think.

A lot of the acts I wanted to see on the Sunday are clashing, has anyone ever seen Massive Attack live before? Have to admit I only know their big songs but not sure whether to check them out or Mano Le Tough, maybe half and half even.

How are people getting out to Marlay Park? The buses they are running through Marathon are €10, does anyone know if these are return prices or just buses out to the festival? €10 one way seems pretty steep. Surely there are Dublin buses you can get out to the same area for a quarter of the price?

Have you got a link to that marathon bus where i can book a ticket? It is carnage trying to get out of there after the gigs, i was at Arctic monkeys last week and when there is 35 thousand or whatever streaming out at the same time you can be guaranteed mayhem! 3 hour waits for buses someone was saying. 20 quid return sounds good to me!

Anyone know what the daily capacity of this is? Is it more or less than the single stage gigs over the last few weeks?

It's €10 return. They give you a wristband for getting back!

Its a festival to make money, they've given you an opt out? In fairness there are some ok traders with food and to be honest you could quite easily go for lunch somewhere before heading in. I know thats what we'll be doing, early lunch and get in for around 2-3pm. :D

it was 10,000 last year i believe.

the single stage gigs wee something like 35,000.

    Yep here it is http://www.marathonsportsbooking.ie/Tours/Longitude-Bus-Service.

€10 return isn't too bad I suppose, they queues shouldn't be as bad as that I think the capacity for this festival is 10,000 isn't it?

Has anyone heard of any after parties on the Sunday? There are one or two for the Friday/Saturday but so far haven't seen anything about any on the Sunday.

Saw Massive Attack at Electric Picnic 4 years ago, they were brilliant, but I'm a huge fan. Most people enjoyed it, but the rain kind of spoiled it for them.
People who have seen them this year (at Glastonbury etc) have said this is the best they've ever been.
