I really hope it's a really terrible line-up so I don't get pangs of jealousy at the National.

Either that or the Sunday line-up is stacked and I'll have recovered from the National in time to go for a day!!

Damon Albarn has been announced as a Latitude headliner in the UK, chance of seeing him at Longitude?

    http://news.qthemusic.com/2014/01/damon_albarn_to_headline_latit.html

hopefully not as headliner anyway. i'm amazed he's that at Latitude tbh. i know he has various bits of stuff here and there, and his debut proper album out in a few months, but as a solo artist he's basically a nobody.
would have to pull out a lot of Blur/Gorillaz hits to make it work as a headliner imo.

Word on the grapevine is that it should be announced at 12pm.

It's weird that nothing whatsoever has leaked

I guess it will be something similar to what they did last year? Like announce the headliners for each day and release the early bird tickets?

Haim, James Vincent McMorrow, Bastille, Cyril Hahn, Bonobo, Chvrches, Hozier, Sam Smith, John Talabot, Julio Bashmore, Le Galaxie, Bondax & Roosevelt added to lineup.

Very poor in my opinion. Only half interested in Haim.

    Up on the website now.

They said on facebook that the full lineup would be announced today but that clearly isn't the full one.

E: more acts announced 6th Feb. Tickets onsale the next day.

Oh I really don't get the big deal about Haim at all. I find them utterly dull.

Hozier and Bastille would be the draw for me.

    Disappointing so far.

Haim and Chvrches are great but they're both playing in March and already have tickets. John Talabot is the only other interesting act announced

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,069 ✭✭✭Irish Aris

brilliant. one festival less to worry about.
Now if you excuse me, I'll go and book my festivals around Europe.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,539 ✭✭✭ghostdancer

No early bird tickets so? Pretty **** so far.
Bonobo is the only thing that is be in a hurry to see, any of the others I care about are regularly here.

Absolutely dreadful line-up, not a hope ill be going to that

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,385 ✭✭✭✭D'Agger

Would go for Bonobo, Cyril Hahn, Disclosure & JVM but other than that it's a bit uninspiring. Hopefully there'll be more to come

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,901 ✭✭✭Mince Pie

Ben Howard and Disclosure.... Erm who?? I'm pretty sure I might have seen Disclosure on Jools but it was a snoozefest

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,163 ✭✭✭TheGoldenAges

Have ticket prices gone up from last year?

Think they are the same, just no early birds.

All your opinions are wrong, it's a very good line up actually

None of those headliners will grab casual fans the way Vampire Weekend, Phoenix or Kraftwerk did.

CHVRCHES announced on their FB page that they're playing the Saturday. I'd only be interested in going if they were playing the same day as Le Galaxie and even then I'd need to see what the rest of the lineup is like.
