Deposit cheques without going to bank?

Is there a facility for depositing a cheque into my bank account without going to the bank?
It goes without saying that opening hours aren't very convenient for people who work normal Mon-Fri jobs. Also how long is a cheque valid for?

    Thanks

    Hi fluffymuffy.

    Thanks for getting in touch.

A cheque is valid for a period of 6 months only.

If you are unable to get to a branch to lodge the cheque between working hours, you may post it to your branch along with a signed written request, including the full instruction and a contact number we can reach you on.

Depending on your location, we have external lodgement atm's that may be of benefit to you. These are located in Stillorgan, Walkinstown, Terenure and Kiltimagh.

We also have a Self Service Lobby in the following branches:
O Connell Street  8.30am-6.30pm Mon - Fri and 9am-5pm weekends and bank holidays
Dublin Airport       24 hours a day
Eyre Square        8am-6pm Mon to Sun
32 South Mall      9am-4pm Mon to Fri
Sligo                   8.30am-6.30pm Mon - Fri and 9am-5pm weekends and bank holidays.

We hope this helps. If there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know.
    Laura
