Gandalf v Dumbledore....who'd win in a fight?

    My flatmates and I are are just rewatching The Hobbit in preparation for the sequel. Somehow we started debating whether Gandalf or Dumbledore would win in a fight and we can't reach a consensus. I'm saying Gandalf hands down but any opinions would be helpful! Also, just came across this website, fantastic time waster: http://whowouldwininabrawl.com/

    Dumbledore is just a repackaged Gandalf without a horse.

    Also, Gandalf died and came back to life. Dumbledore just died.

    Obviously Gandalf wins every time.

    Gandalf the Grey died and came back as Gandalf the White

    Dumbledore died and came back as Michael Gambon

    I don't want to be boring or offensive but in my head it's just nerdy. Too nerdy. And I'm surprising myself by being a bit judgemental! Now what being nerdy really is and why it's a negative to me is up for debate - I'm going with the oul' social conditioning myself.

    So yea... that's my opinion on this.

    Technically, Gandalf should win, I think.
    I dunno if Eru (basically the supreme being in LotR) would resurrect him constantly, though.

    Plus magic is very different in both worlds. LotR is low fantasy style magic. Whereas Harry Potter has death curses, teleportation, etc.

    Would also be based on powerful Gandalf is. If he's in LotR mode then he might lose, a lot. But in Maia form, he'd hand Dumbledore his arse ten times over and be back in time for lunch.
