Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ever see a result and feel sick, how in the name of God did Rekindling go off 7/1 after finishing behind Capri first time out (fancy him for the derby)

Fenton missed 2 one-on-one goal chances today (would have sealed it) but had a decent game otherwise and kicked a point.

Now 6/4 clear favourite for POTY. Here's hoping he delivers in replay.

No entered at Dundalk but not over its optimum trip I think. Deeds not words might be worth a few quid e/w tomorrow but not a big stake

Good punt on Pavalacini Run today even allowing for the non runners. There's one tomorrow night I think they're going to back. Will post it once I'm on

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,484 ✭✭✭Peintre Celebre

All his best form has come over course and distance, Twistsandturns is down to a good mark after some poor turf runs. He had been backed last time when a non runner here in a much better race despite being badly drawn. This is a bad race tomorrow had a chunk at 8/1

Not sure why I took so long to watch the Wire

Anyone watching the tour championship? McElroy just eagled the 16th to move within 1. Big pay day if he wins

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭BumperD

I see some poor sap on Betfair has just bet over 400 quid on Emiliano Grillo despite the fact he's not even in the play-off and can't win :pac:

How do betfair even allow that occur

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭BumperD

    That was a big save

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭BumperD

McElroy must have slipped more a Benjamin to screw that shot up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,484 ✭✭✭Peintre Celebre

Tizzard to be champion jumps trainer 50/1. Has got 14 of Potts horses including sizing granite, a 20% increase in numbers. Had 1.4 million in prize money last year and has Cue Card and Thistlecrack chasing this year and the high class Native River. Worse 50/1 shots out there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,941 ✭✭✭krustydoyle

Now the Tizzards wouldn't of been top of my guest list for the Potts.. Does this mean Burke will be traveling back and forth now too??

A strong fancy tomorrow night, Athletic is down to a mark of 64 and drops into a class six, his last run in anything less than a class four was two years ago when he won a handicap by 7 lengths at Newmarket off a mark of 66 and just failed to follow up under a penalty. He has plenty of good form this year in higher class handicaps even his run two starts back at Windsor would be good enough here. I'd have backed him at 8/1, 12/1 is massive and I've had the equivalent of a 5 point bet my first in a while. Be disappointed if he didn't go close and we didn't beat SP

Straight down from class 4 to class 6 as well. I backed this at Chelmsford a few months back, got a good price the night before and it was backed into favourite, it bombed. Hopefully the step down in class and 5lb claimer gives this plenty in hand. Will be doing it straight cause I don't trust it to place. Good luck.

Trainers strike rate would make rothwell look good. The drop of two classes gives hope but trainer form is dire.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,484 ✭✭✭Peintre Celebre

Ya fair point bumper but I don't pass too much heed when it's a small yard whose runners often go off massive prices

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,484 ✭✭✭Peintre Celebre

Please god Gigginstown send their 60 horses from Willie to Tizzard <3

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭BumperD

The drop in two grades gives him his best chance in a long time, few quid on him too by the looks of things, hope he does the business

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,484 ✭✭✭Peintre Celebre

Never involved after missing the break disappointing at least I beat SP. Hopefully Teak can get a bit back Friday.

Anyone that can get on with BF sportsbook they are 16s about Koing Hall which is twice the price of most firms.

    Serious value.

Whats with the proliferation of mouth pieces in bookie shops these days!?. Usually the emaciated sweat shirt wearing variety. No matter who they back the jockey cant do any right of course. I'm talking full bore cursing and shouting during watching a race. The obligatory docket thrown at the screen with rage at the end. Always happened to a degree but I've never known it to be as consistent in shops as it is now.

Shops now r full of degenerates. Backing everything that moves for small stakes. Bookies seem to be happy as 0 of these will ever be winning punters. Awful places to be now. When 1 go in its in and out no delay

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,553 ✭✭✭✭Copper_pipe

Was in a Lads shop in Limerick last week.

A Chinese lad had 100 e/w on a. 20/1 shot on the "racing" at Frankel Park.

    Came 2nd :o

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,484 ✭✭✭Peintre Celebre

You know a lot of times people backing a 20/1 shot in that (despite having no form to base their bet on) are getting a fairer deal than backing a horse at 20/1. That one on the computer is a true 20/1 shot (maybe with a small over round). The fella laughing at him standing next to him could be backing a 20/1 shot that's about 40 on BF (I could be wrong I'm assuming the over rounds on the computers aren't that much but could be about 200%)

Yeah i agree, i dont be in shops as much anymore so i was thinking for a minute maybe i was immune when i was in more often but yeah they seem teeming with degens.

It amazes me how people hang around those bookies shops all day every day and have never been to a race track
I often go to my local bookies on a Saturday morning to do a few bets.
If I happen to say "I am heading to punchestown/fairyhouse/leopardstown etc today" I usually get told I must be mad as " irish racing is corrupt" then they make a dash for the counter to back a cartoon dog.

    Madness !!!

Sole Power looks very big at 15/2 with hills for the race at ascot tomorrow. 3 pts win for me.

The price last night was nuts. I could only get 1.25 pts on. I do wonder at times what their traders are on.
