website access fails to rte.ie and bbc, but others work fine???

    Two PCs here, both suffer same issue, http://www.rte.ie and http://www.bbc.co.uk both fail to load, yet the irish times, here, and many others do open. Ive run ccleaner, defaulted browsers, chrome and internet explorer. Any thoughts, didnt get much time to look at this, just a few mins over lunch. any help appreciated. flash has been updated, youtube works. :mad:

    What do you mean by "fail to load" ?

    Do you get a site / page not found, or does it partially render ?


    Do you have any browser add-ons ?
    Ghostery, Ad-block, https-everywhere or the like ?

    No addons. Just not loading and no error messages. Just stays on loading screen with sspinning cursor. Using chrome and IE8 all latest. Avast anti v. No restrictions

    have you tried it by ip address in case there is a DNS issue ?

    Try access the sites in Windows Safe Mode and using IE in Safe Mode.

    Tracert to www.rte.ie is fine. All low ping jumps.

    Must be some plugin on the site that these pcs are blocking. Channel4.com is ok
