He's the only jock out of the top 7 under 30. Sure be the top one some day.

Not saying he will, but hopefully The New One trounces Zarkander in the next. Would be great for the Champion Hurdle spectacle.

I definitely agree i think he is almost sure to win the title once McCoy calls it a day.

He should win this moonwalking, 20 lengths win to confirm his quality

I think the new one should win it,but zarkander won't a pushover, don't think it will be a hiding.

He shouldn't be hammering Zarkander on form but I can just see him winning on the bridle.

Albert Hall for a small e/w interest in this..

Tongue in cheek :P, he should win easy enough I feel.

Gonna take a chance on Shuil Royale 7/1 in the next at Lingfield. Looks to be on a fair enough mark having made with two ordinary enough runs coming back from a break

What the hell was Brendan Powell at

WTF did Brendan Powell think he was doing there??

Hard to know what to make of that!

Dunno what Sam was at there, he should have given a squeeze when he got in front of Zarkandar, you don't want to get into a scrap with him.

Still did it well enough though.

What in the name of god was Brendan Powell at? Picked up well when push came to shove.

The New One has bags of talent but he's quirky enough and everything will have to go absolutely right for him on the big day.

Can anybody remember where Rosdom thinks moyle park will run in March ?

I'd like to back him before he runs tomorrow.

And am I right in thinking that our Connor will run in the champion hurdle ?

His jumping is my only worry. Still a few issues to iron out there

He quickened well when he needed to. Would be reasonably happy with that.

    Supreme. He's not running tomorrow.

Ya he was very sloppy at the last when you just needed him to pop it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,340 ✭✭✭sting60

If you think The New One won that race with 10lbs in hand considering the trouble Zarkander got into then back him for March.I have never believed he is a Champion Hurdle horse and I was not impressed today. He will be meeting far superior horses in March than he met here but the English will pump him up big time.

It was the same last year. I thought if there was a champion hurdle horse among last years novices/juveniles it was the new one but his jumping makes him a doubt for me over 2m on the old course. Think he has an unreal engine though

I know he found something again when Zarkandar came back at him after the last, but to me he really wouldn't want to be hitting the front too soon in March.
He only had one serious rival to fend off today they will attacking from all sides in the CH.

Sam Twiston Davies will need to perfect on the day

Did NTD just say the new one will run twice again before march???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,351 ✭✭✭✭Harry Angstrom

Would be great if The New One took on My Tent Or Yours at Kempton. We might get a half-decent price for MTOY to beat him.

Ended up having one bet on the well handicapped but unreliable Parisian Pyramid tonight at Wolv at 8/1.

Huge drift on Gemix. He's probably the best horse in race if handling ground, though.

Thought The New One pulled away nicely after Zarkandar came at him up the hill.

Will need to jump quicker but there's time to get that right.

If him, MTOY, HF, OC and Jezki all go there unbeaten this season (Which probably isn't possible for them to avoid each other over here) it will be the best race ever.

Horse who was second in a maiden hurdle to Kings Palace runs in a handicap in Carlisle tomorrow off 127. A 6yo by the name of Kaki De La Pree for Tom Symonds.
There was some 7/2 earlier but he is now into 3/1. Just said id let people know. Looks open to improvement and running against some hardened horses but i still think there is juice in the 3/1.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,564 ✭✭✭kiers47

They landed some punt in the 7.50 in wolves. 4/1 into even money and hacked up.

That could be chucked in. I'd imagine after Kings Palace's victory today money will keep flooding in and he may well go close to going off odds on.

I've had a very big bet at 5/2 with a view to laying off my stake at hopefully about evens to have a free very big 6/4 bet.

Massively off topic, apart from when it's one I've backed I always laugh when I see the form comment "found nil"

I've added travelling French horses to fillies/mares in my no bet category. Pulled for his head for the first mile and ran no race, not that it made any difference. He's normally allowed bowl along in front so why cottin didn't allow him do the same yesterday was puzzling. Anyway, Gemix is off my Cristmas card list.

his form Is up and down in France as what it was before the race yesterday . He's obviously not the horse everyone thinks he is. Celestial halo, solwhit and the rev de sivola had a hard season before racing him..I'd pay no heed to gemix if they were to race against each other again..next time I'd leave carberry on solwhit in france

    Hopefully a few followed.

Cheers for flagging it up Kiers'

The Rossom approval is always nice alright.

    Pineau hit 1.04.
