Which one did u go for?
I'm trying to sort this out at the mo. I have founf the following options:
1.Tens mach for sale in Sam McCauleys for 100 euro
2 . Cheapest Tens mach for sale on inhealth.ie is 47.50
    3. Rent one from Boots for 1m for approx 50 (I think?) but you have to post it back and pay for postage (unknown cost)
    4. Rent one from O'Sullivan's chemist for 43 euro for 1 m
    5. Found a second hand one on Done Deal advertised price 40 euro

    Decisions decisions!!

I used rental from www.medicare.ie I wanted to rent rather than buy as it would quickly become unused clutter - even if I have ten more babies, that will be onlyten days over a decade that it is actually used, and my tiny house is tight for storage space. Also, i habe no idea if it is applies here but when hiring something like DIY tools inthe past, generally the item is far more 'professional' and better spec than the consumer retail version, so I assumed the same logic applied here, without actually researching it!

I chose Medicare as they are a specialist medical devices service provider, and I was persuaded by the spin on their website that their model is the best for obstetric use. I know my sister used the Boots rental machine and found it great, but I just somehow preferred the idea of a specialist supplier. I think the cost was marginally dearer than Boots or some others once you factored in delivery (a couple of euro in the difference maybe) but if you live near their premises, they offer the option to collect it for no charge either.

It's amazing how many areas we become expert in while pregnant!

I was going to rent one... then forgot... and the midwife in the delivery room gave me the hospital one to use. Great job. Got to 6 cm with just that.

Alas.. I forgot again.. hope they still have them

I bought an Elle tens for €30 on adverts, it's the one they rent from boots & had great reviews on amazon. Was only used for one labour. Bought 2sets of new pads for a tenner off amazon & sure I can sell it on!

Thanks very good tips. I'm the same, don't need the extra clutter so think I will also rent one. They have a very good video on that website! Even if you got your TENS machine from another company I think it's worth watching that video it really explains really clearly how the whole thing works! I've a feeling the one you got is the one O'Sullivan's pharmacy rents out coz the price is weirdly exactly the same! Might ring them tomorrow as if going through them saves me posting it back etc, how bad
