Rejoining Lego at the ripe old age of 35

Well the plunge has been taken, and I've decided to re-enter lego. I have such fond memories of it up to my teen years. Technics is going to be my new hobby, the first set will be the Unimog

I'm considering getting the power functions motor set, plus another kit.

Any thoughts on those sets, or recommendations for a newbie to technics? What would be a good second kit to the unimog?

Anything that you like - is a good set.

I personally love 9398, its my favourite set. It has everything you need to do remote control mocs and it looks great as display piece too.

That excavator is on my list as a smaller project alright, I'd love the 4x4 but its out of stock around Cork. Maybe a gift to myself post-christmas;)

Just order it? Or from lego website itself, it would be even cheaper. All orders 55eu++ have free delivery.

I wanted to get second crawler, but this month I got Tax for both cars, Electricity bill and Gas bill. I have not even though about Present for myself this year.

Lego is the best have the tower of London taj mahal and about 12 other technic sets some from 1978 like set 850 855 8865
