An hour to kick off and no match thread?

Spurs entertain high flying Liverpool in todays 4pm kick off(Live on Sky)

Liverpool are missing Enrique, Sturridge and captain Steven Gerrard.

Spurs are missing Gareth Bale, Jan Vertongen, Gareth Bale, a regular goal scorer and Gareth Bale.

A win is a must for both sides today if they want to keep their title aspirations/chance of a top four finish alive. Liverpool can cut the margin to two points at the top if they win.

Spurs can go level with Liverpool if they win.

He is still pretty raw but is given the nod ahead of Lamela as he tracks back & helps his fullback out

Soldado starting is good for Liverpool, Defoe would have been more of a threat on current form.

Lucas v Paulinho and Flanagan v Lennon will be the deciding of the game imo.

Really nervous about this game. Always feel that come the end of the season, it will be between us, Spurs and United for the 4th place spot. If we get beaten by a Spurs team that hasn't even hit form, then I fear our chances for 4th are out the window.

Defoe was very good in the wins against Fulham and Sunderland.

Soldado has been pretty putrid all season.

Tough one to call. Spurs should really be all over that Liverpool midfield but they just haven't shown any intention that they will this season.
Really wouldn't want to be putting money on the outcome of this.

Defoe has been equally impressive in the Europa League - 7 goals from 5 games.

Soldado's Premier League record is awful, 1 goal from open play all season. Although knowing our luck, this will be the game where he turns it around.

I hope flanno plays at rb and not lb like he has recently, hes not blessed with pace so hed stand a better chance against chadli rather than lennon.

Anyways, interesting to see how this pans out. First time in a good few years that Liverpool are actually competing with Spurs in the league, although with the way their fans go on you'd never know it.

He's club captain though. He's Mr. Liverpool according to a lot of their fans yet here he is on Sky instead of being in the dressing room encouraging his teammates. You can never have enough leaders in the dressing room.
