Hi Guys im doing some selenium testing on a website for the first time heres probably a very stupid question but here goes. can anyone explain to me what asserts are actually for and verifies in reference to web testing ? thank you:rolleyes:

Assert and Verify fulfill the same role, the difference in their functionality is what happens when a check fails.

If you use an assert command and the check fails then the test case terminates, so no subsequent checks are run. If you use a verify command and the check fails then the test case doesn't terminate and subsequent checks can be run.
