Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I treated myself to the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette but realised that the majority of the colours are too shimmery for someone my age (50+). Did a bit of you tubing and I reckon I should have bought shadows with a matte finish. They definitely look better on us oul wans.
There are so many to choose from and I don't want to buy the wrong thing again. Can anyone recommend a matte palette. I normally wear browns, greens and neutrals.

I like Bobbi Brown neutral shades because although they're not matte, they're not offensively shimmery either and don't settle in creases etc. Also like an ELF palette I got a couple of years ago in which more than half of the shadows are matte - had a look at their website there and can't see anything similar right now, but it's a selection of about 24 cream to dark brown shades.

Inglot! Their Freedom Palette allows you to choose all the colours and their mattes are really nice :) It's about 4-6 euro per pan.

If you already know what colors you want this is prob your best bet, they're quality eyeshadows, my only regret when I got my freedom palette is I didn't put enough thought into it :(

My vote is definitely for an Inglot palette! Worth every penny if you spend the time finding the right shades for yourself. I'd recommend that over the Naked Basics any day.

urban decay naked basics is a great mate neutral pallette. I also have a bobbi brown pallette i got last year at christmas which has four neutral shades three are matte, one has subtle shimmer.
