    Hello,
    New to this and hoping someone can help. How is maintenance received for kids counted for mortgage purposes. Employed full time €32000 pa receiving €8500 pa for 2 kids. What's the max mortgage I could hope to get?

    Lenders do not normally include maintenance as earnings when assessing a mortgage application as it is not guaranteed income. The person paying the maintenance could lose their job, emigrate or just stop the payments.

    Thanks Trish, just trying to get an idea of what price range I could look at and had an idea that it wouldn't be counted but I couldn't find a definite answer.
