If frost was responsible for damage to the walls of a house and it took a couple of years for the problem to become evident (plaster disintegrating) is there a time limit in which a claim can be made?

I suppose I should have asked if the insrance covers this type of situation but I dont see any reason why it wouldnt.

    Cheers.

    Hi muffler,

We would like to get some more information from you in relation to this.

Could you PM me your details and I can arrange for someone from our Claims department to give you a call?

    Thanks

    Una

Thanks for the reply Una. Im just asking on behalf of a friend and In not even sure who they are insured with.

Just wondering if this type of claim would be considered at all or does it vary between insurers and circumstances etc.

Like you say the level of cover varies between insurers and each claim would be reviewed individually.

The best thing for your friend to do is to contact his insurer and explain the situation and see what advice they can provide.
