Wait what? The time of server will be different for each person based on your local time? Surely that is plain stupid?


Pro tip: put gamma to Max. It will be almost black and white, but you will see everything like it is day light.

I assume it means the time on the machine that is hosting the server, not the individual users machine.

Would be utterly stupid otherwise.

Thats what I assumed too, until read the post above. OP did said after that it might be a bug.

Even so, I dont like idea of having Server time based on machines local time. I guess it is easily by passed, but still, silly.

I played for about an hour after the servers came back up but found it very hard to find loot. Killed two people with an axe though and they were not too pleased. Is there less loot in this standalone or what's the story? Do you all play on Boards server or?

did anyone lose their character since the update it changed the name of mine to the PC's name n reset my character...anyway to get my old one back?

You can change the name of the character by just clicking on the name on the menu but I'm afraid there's no getting your old character back, although mine did revert to an older character

So for a concrete answer:

Game daylight is now the servers local time? (aka past 5pm GMT in EU is darkness for all)

Funny I've only come across daylight servers. And these would be advertised UK/DE servers

Bug. If you go into video settings > then exit video settings it will clear everything up. That or he has Bloom set to 1000000%

Its all AA maxed ( or close too ). It makes everything look very fuzzy like this. Looks nice when you play it, but it is a lot more efficient on lower or no AA as you can see players in distance a lot more clear. One thing though, it does look very colourful in his Screenshots. My dayZ looks really colourless.

Yep looks like mine is f*cked too. Spent over half an hour making my way to Cherno, got some gear, some food and all. Logged out, logged back in on The Irish Guard server and was a fresh spawn on the coast again. F*ck this.

Characters will get wiped all the time, the game is not finished.

I've lost fully geared up characters loads of times, big deal, I mean most of the fun of the game right now is the process of gearing up.

Once you have everything there is nothing to do.

Yeah that's grand if it happens every now and then it's understandable but not every f*cking time.
