Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just a word of warning to be very careful about hiring through online trade sites.

I hired through onlinetradesmen.ie for a small job to properly connect a stove pipe to flue. Orig flue didn't have reducer but went 1 m up chimney. Job was worse than when he started. No seal between reducer and clay flue which was bigger than reducer by 1 inch. Left me at very serious risk of CO2 poisoning and of my house burning down. He was aggressive and abusive when I companied to him.

Site removed my 1 star rating and feedback within 24 hours.

They appear to only allow 5 star ratings.

Be very very careful and don't believe the feedback.

They make their money from others making money from you, it is your responsibility to check the tradesman out they don't seem to care nor understand the meaning of the word tradesman.

    Yep. True words.

They have badges all over their website about their tradesmen being verified and they have feedback.

Just pointing out buyer beware. Feedback is only good feedback and their interpretation of qualified appears to be just any kind of FAS course.

Obviously only so much checking you are going to do for a €200 job vs a €2000 job say. Maybe I'm a bit too used to ebay etc. where negative feedback is kept.
