    Hi Guys,

Your mobile app used to be really good, standing up well shoulder to shoulder with the other banks. However it appears you are not keeping it up to date, The App has not worked well since Android 4.2 and now completely fails to allow Pin entry on Android 4.3 using either google keyboard or swiftkey.

It is as of right now utterly useless to any new android device that is bought with more than 4.2 on it as the user can not login to their account.

Is this issue being addressed? Can it be raised at the IT level or whichever third party contracted to the app build.

As can be seen from the comments on the google play store there are many people with the problem which goes to show that the mobile application is of today useless on android and very disappointing.

    Hi listermint

    Thank you for your post.

We have sent your comments and suggestions to our Mobile Banking Team, please see the response below.

'Our software provider for the mobile banking app unfortunately cannot be responsible or technically support the plug-in of a 3rd party app within its software. We do appreciate these are popular apps within its software and that other customers may encounter a similar experience and have asked our mobile platform provider to consider if an action might be required in this space.'

    Thanks

    Alison

    Hi

Your software team obviously didnt read the comments very well. 'Googles OEM keyboard' and swiftkey do not enter the pin into the app. They need to update their app version inline with current development practice.

Basically they are dropping the ball.

Forward that back to the team.

    Thanks Alison

Hmmm, just tried it there on a totally stock Nexus 7 with KitKat (4.4.2) and I could enter my PIN and access the app normally. It also works fine on my Nexus 4 (Cyanogenmod 10.2, running Android 4.3.1).  Have you tried it with other devices Listermint?
