Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

BBC1 Great Train Robbery Two part Drama Wed/Thurs

Starting at the oddly early hour of 8 pm both nights and boosted by the death of Ronnie Biggs overnight a two parter about Britain's most famous robbery (though not most valuable) starts with the drama as seen from the gangs point of view, tomorrow its Inspector Jack Slipper and the boys in blue.

Not sure if the world needed another retelling of this - there was one only a couple of years ago "Mrs Biggs" - but the cast is top draw and the BBC does period set stuff well.

Not too bad, 'the 60s' was laid on a bit thick early on before we got down to business. Looking at the nature of the plan its small wonder most of them were caught so quickly.
Tomorrow is when the star names come out to play.

Possibly not although it is important to keep stories like this visible & available... so us younger folk get to hear them too! Can't wait until next week :)

excellent drama, very impressed all round didn't glorify the robbers like it did in other dramas/movies notably Buster

most impressed with Luke Evans as Bruce Reynolds a future screen idol in the making?

Saw this was added to Netflix so decided to watch part one. Really enjoyed it, the attention to detail was fantastic and while the whole 60s setting went a little overboard once the show settled down it came into its own. The cast were fantastic and the robbery itself was shot in a restrained manner that impressed. There was a nice old fashioned feel to it all and I'm eager to see part 2.
