Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Some part of me thinks this is a new low for football

    Game stopped
    by rain.

I don't think it's an exaggeration to say the vast majority of us will have played in similar or worse to that. Get on with it FFS.

And to think they slagged off Shhhteve McLaren for putting up an umbrella.

Why and when did Stoke decide to fabricate a rivalry with Manchester United? What a strange bunch of supporters.

Stoke supporters hate everyone, even Stoke.

Stoke is a horrible place so I don't blame them for being miserable even tbf

It's a bit like our 5 a side games. "It'll probably be raining, won't be safe to play. Let's call a halt to it all lads"

Looks like the ref couldn't see what was going on as the hail was driving into his eyes. Never seen that before, but it was sensible to take them off for a few minutes while it blows over

It is a new low as someone else has posted,

Can understand Walters frustration, it is a bit embarrassing.

Saw them playing NFL in inches of snow last week.

It's worse when you get a smack of a ball into the thigh during weather like this

Played in hail many a times. You just get on with it because it never lasts very long.

    Michael Graham ‏@Capt_Fishpaste 2m
Jon Walters reluctant to go off. For those who don't know body-language, as he trudged off in disgust, his said "you soft ****ing ****es".

+1. An awful hole of a place altogether. Had the misfortune of being sent there for work for a month. Unreal how a place can be so miserable!

Lol at people comparing their Sunday league experiences to actual professionals with real consequences involving shìtloads of money among other things.

Will they do a warm up? They've only been off 5 minutes.

If the ref can't see you can hardly expect him to referee the game, don't see how anyone can see a problem with him stopping the game for a few mins until it blows over

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Surprised Walters didn't come back out in a Speedo.

Was thinking that as they walked off, and the fact the match will no be later finishing

Cant expect much in these conditions in fairness and Danny is not adept at playing up front alone, the problems we were going to have in the final third were telegraphed, the problems we are having actually passing the ball to United players anywhere on the pitch except to the cbs from the midfield naturally are frustrating as hell though

It pains me to say it but Ireland is a very talented passer of the ball when on form.

Both Evans and Smalling trying to move the ball forward there, not once did Tom Cleverley in the centre circle make any real attempt to show for the ball. ****ing useless.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

This is ****ing pathetic you know

Stoke are able to play it along the ground to each other but United cant? Something very wrong there

**** I forgot ando was playing

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,825 ✭✭✭Timmyctc

Its funny because we'll probably win if we try to play stoke ball in this half. Taking advantage of the wind etc

Why the fcuk did Young applaud that ghastly ball from Ando?? Shows what standard Young is at
